Longevity Medicine Board Certification
The American Board of Longevity Medicine (ABLM) is established as a formal subspecialty certification pathway under the American Board of Regenerative Medicine (ABRM), providing a structured, evidence-based framework for physicians engaged in the clinical practice of Longevity Medicine. The ABLM certification process is designed to assess and validate physician competency in the scientific principles, diagnostic strategies, and therapeutic interventions that address mechanisms of aging and healthspan optimization. Through completion of defined educational modules and successful performance on a comprehensive written examination, candidates demonstrate proficiency in the foundational and translational sciences that underpin contemporary longevity-focused clinical care .
Board certification by ABLM signifies that a physician meets established eligibility criteria, including active medical licensure and substantive clinical engagement in Longevity Medicine. The certification process is intended to promote standardization, ethical practice, and regulatory awareness within a rapidly evolving clinical field that incorporates genomics, multi-omics technologies, biomarkers of aging, pharmacologic and biologic interventions, and emerging cellular and gene-based strategies . As a formal credential, ABLM certification supports professional accountability, reinforces evidence-based practice standards, and provides institutions, colleagues, and patients with an objective measure of physician qualification in this defined area of medical practice.
